Made a trip to the Subordinate Court today, and i must say..what an exciting and adventurous trip it was!!! Hahaa..although it was such a serious place!
After filing the paperwork, i had to wait for my turn to meet the judge. After almost 30 minutes of waiting, my name was called. I don’t know why..but my heart began to pound faster and faster! Hahaha!! Once inside the room, i was asked to stand still before the judge and not move. She was so stern looking! For a moment, i saw the power of authority in motion hahha! After reviewing the case, i was made to swear the pledge..you know, the part where you lift up your right hand and say “I swear to tell the truth..” thingy. Hahaha i wanted to laugh!!! But thought it would be a bad idea! Feels like i’m in a movie or something you know!
In less than 5 mins, i was out of the room with my heart still pounding. My imagination always picture a judge looking like an old balding man with a small pair of circular glasses hanging on the edge of his nose. But to the contrary, this judge was not only young looking but quite pretty too!
We managed to sneak into one of the court rooms to have a look at how it is like. And wow..it’s really like what we always see on TV!! I think we are the most excited and happy people there in the court!
So sad i couldn’t take any photos as no photography was allowed. I was contemplating if i should ask the judge to take a photo with me! But once i stepped into the room, i forgot everything!! Anyway..the judge might think i’m trying to be funny ah? Hahha
Was sms-ing my friend that i came back from the court. And her reply was like: “Court? Oh you wanna buy new furniture?” Hahahha!!!!! I couldn’t stop laughing!!!!! Aiyo, how blur can she be?! So cute.
To me, this whole issue is so ridiculous, unnecessary and a waste of time. I’m never a provocative person, not one who enjoys looking for conflicts. If we can all learn to give and take, be more enduring..the world will be a better place. Despite what had happened, I pray it can be settled amicably and things will work well for all parties.
World peace!
